About
About QuizCast
QuizCast is a live multiplayer quiz platform. The questions go on a TV, players answer from their phones, and the scoring happens as you go — which takes care of the two things that make hosting a quiz night hard work: being heard, and marking the answers.
What it does
Hosts build quizzes on the web dashboard or generate them with AI, then cast them to a TV. Players join with a code, no account required to play. Alongside standard rounds there are game formats built for a room — picture rounds, music rounds, head-to-heads and team battles — plus an AI narrator that reads the questions aloud, so a host does not have to shout over a busy pub.
Where it runs
The host dashboard runs in any browser. The player and host apps run on Android, and the TV app runs on Amazon Fire TV devices as well as in a browser on any screen with one. There is a free tier with sample quiz packs, so you can run a night without paying for anything.
Why it works this way
A quiz night is not really a knowledge problem. Almost anyone can find sixty decent questions. What makes hosting hard is everything around them: being heard over a full room, marking forty answer sheets while the room waits, keeping the scores straight when two teams disagree, and doing all of it again next week.
So QuizCast is built around those problems rather than around the questions. The questions go on a screen so nobody has to hear them over the bar. Answers come in from phones, which means the scoring is finished the moment the round is. An AI host voice reads each question, so a host who has lost their voice by round four still has a night. None of that is clever on its own — it just removes the parts of the job that make people stop hosting.
The same reasoning explains what QuizCast deliberately does not do. Players never have to install anything or make an account, because a quiz that asks eleven strangers to sign up before the first question has already lost the room. And there is a free tier with no card required, because the only honest way to find out whether this suits your venue is to run a real night with it.
